power loss at 1500rpm
hello all
I have just purchased a 2007 Vectra elite1.9cdti 150 I'm having a problem with it missfiring / loosing power for a second or two when hitting 1500rpm n say 4-5-6 doesn't seem too do it at least not badly when you put your foot down in lower gears
I'v tried cable tiring the 3rd injector tighter and cleaned it out
also cleaned the boost valve and the egr altho probably needes doing a bit better didn't get it shining
anyone any ideas ?

Check your vacuum lines, there are 3 but only 2 are easily accessible.
Could be that your turbo is trying to kick in and the vane isn't opening properly to allow it to spool but the ecu is still chucking in the extra fuel and bogging down the engine.

ok so I changed the two pipes that are easy to get too changed one but used a hose that was too large for the small white plastic thing it was the one
was cracked a bit took a drive and the car was under powered and a bit noisier and the problem was completely gone !
but when I replaced it with the correct size hose the problem came back have I something wrong with my turbo ?

i think I have found the problem took off the boost regulator sprayed some brake cleaner into the nozzels and the mesh went for a spin and seemed to fix it but came back within 15 mins or so
guessing I need a new one

Try contact cleaner instead. Brake cleaner removes oil but contact cleaner removes moisture.
Also check the wiring to the regulator, I changed my whole turbo becauae I thought that was the issue but it wasn't, it was one of those wires that had worn through.
