No, from 2005, only the Z19DTH and Z19DT were in the Zafiras. Up to 2010-11 there also was a 1.7 CDTI. (Information courtesy of Wikipedia)

Oh right, the reason I heard about them is a neighbour had one and it was the 16v engine. Mentioning it was the same as mine he said oh no it’s the lower power version it’s the L 120 bhp. So that’s why I’ve always thought there were 3 versions in the UK.
Unless they stuck them in sometimes when they had no 8v engines available? Who knows they always do odd things that should be done really.

There has to be some misunderstanding here guys. I've got Z19DTL which is 74kw 8 valves engine. He passed out (now finding out why ..). But the point is Opel offered two engines named Z19DTL 74kw and Z19DT 88kw. Both engines are the same one and only difference is the ECU which has different SW in it. And then there is Z19DTH 110kw which is 16v and it's different engine type in comparison with previous ones. But swaping into this one is in my country insanely hard ... cause some legislation.

If that’s the case just remap it with the higher power software.

Yep, DTL version (not available in UK) was 8v 100bhp. Curiously the DTJ version was a DTH detuned to 120bhp so presumably with an F40 box.

Allegedly DTJ's were built due to a shortage or non-availability of 8v DT's IIRC.

Must have been then, after all it was many years ago and it’s not like his car is next to mine on the drive now for me to check they moved years ago. Must have been a J, oh to much Vectra info in my little head
