DPF Removal l& Re Map?

Hi Thoughts please Is it a good idea or not to remove Dpf & re map Ecu on 160 cdti Eco Flex Insignia 131k? Thanks

I'm looking at smashing out the inners of my dpf and getting it remapped. Also a few other bits. If deleting the dpf with a straight pipe, I'd keep the rest for mot time unless you know a friendly MOT test centre
