vectra 2ltr turbo pre facelift rear windows won't work
Hi haven't been on a while but I've just had my brother here he has bought a 2ltr turbo pre facelift vectra and had electric windows in rear (not sure how they where fitted as using toggle switches in rear doors) he bought a switch pack for drivers door as didn't have 1 with controls for rear and the switches for rear doors to replace the toggle switches. Hes fitted the switches and turned up asking me to activate them as previous owner said it was all that was needed but they worked on the toggle switches in the rear with no proper driver switch to control rears. But now they don't work from front switch or rear switches. So I went through and followed plasma guide to activate rear windows and it won't programme. It's saying trunk release timing wrong. I've sent him away he's had me on with it all day. Anybody any idea what's wrong or where I or him have gone wrong without looking at all wires etc. Any help greatly appreciated as usual this is the place if need advice.

Whilst programming it came up invalid for body type and trunk release time. Not programmable. Gonna look around and hopefully find out more as brother is away for 8 days.

Hi John it's a hatchback 53 reg. As for coding I'm just learning with this tech 2. I've done this before with my wife's old vectra but I fitted all body looms and motors etc myself so know how that was fitted and I've done the same with my current cdti fitted body looms etc programmed them but waiting for warmer weather to fit door motors. Previous owner of his car must of fitted them and I don't have a clue how it was done so I first read and cleared all past faults on his car then tried to programme it. Does the drivers switch matter if it's from Pre facelift or facelift? I'll ask him if switches where from estate or hatch is there difference? Like I say I'm learning with this tech2 (we all got to learn something at sometime) Any help greatly appreciated. The rear windows opened and closed from the silly toggle switches previous owner fitted before my brother fitted the proper switches then now they don't work. Front windows work the door lock buttons on drivers and passengers door works ok. As for are they coded correct how do I find out? Thanks as always in advance of any help
