2in1 fog light and drl

Hi. I was interested to buy a fog light from aliexpress

Does anyone have experience mounting this type of lamp? My vectra is not opc model, I think my fog light is not like this, so I need a mounting adapter like this:

I cant find these adapters on the internet to buy. Does anyone has exact parameters to make it for myself? Or any other idea?

the only way to make it yourself since no-one has them afaik, is to buy a set put them in and make a cardboard template that you can than transfer to a sheet of aluminium or stainless steel cut it out, bend as needed and test fit... repeat for the other side

Anything is possible but there are aftermarket fogs on ebay that are meant to be plug and play,do a how to so ppl can try for themselves

but I cant found a fog light with drl which is plug and play for my vec.

Yours searches didn’t send you to my diary on here then? If you look you’ll see I did install some, I’m not sure if I put the link to where they were from but I’d be asking them for info. If your lucky I’ll remember and post the link later since you took the time to ask in the right section

I might have mentioned I removed them as I didn’t like the flickering when the lamps were not turned on and I didn’t want to make 2 external sets of anti strobe circuits for them like I have done for led side lights.

oh and where’s your introduction post with pics of your Vectra estate? I’m not sure I should dig all my info out for a car that doesn’t exist lol

And for anyone trying to outsmart me I’m on my phone at work sitting outside a certain companies engine build about to finish today’s checks on the boiler house so sod off

I have emailed them (hansen parts) but they dont have these adapters anymore. Sorry for missing introduction, I dont know it is necessary

But here is my vec: 2007 1.9 cdti station wagon.

The main reason is for I want drl, that I have a new, renewed halogene headlight with osram night braker laser bulb with 250h lifetime, so it can burn out fast. Smarter to use a drl during the day. I dont like the look of an universal drl like osram leddriving.
Now, I use pepas comfort module drl option which uses fog light, but in my country (Serbia) its not legal to use that for drl. Interestingly, I have passed by 3 police cars without any problem, but led drl looks like more legal than halogene fog light. May I ask, if you dont use these fog lights from your post, what do you use instead of ?

There have been a guy selling the adapters on the german small ads market. It was a remake of the hansen ones.
I was in luck to get one set of these, price was 50 Euros posted.
