indicator tale..

So...changing a front indicator bulb,on a facelift..no biggy thought I.
After trying to get my hand in the space to change the passenger side bulb(and yes I did remove the washer bottle fill spout) I decided to take the bumper off. That was the easy part. I spent a stupid amount of time trying to get the bulb holder out and then trying to work out why the bulb had failed.
I swopped the drivers side bulb over,that was ok in the drivers side but dead in the passenger side.Passenger side bulb was ok in the drivers side...cleaned up the contacts on both the bulb and holder..no success. I then put the drivers side into the passenger side and voila!!...
I took a good look at the original holder and found a hole in one of the contact surfaces...quick trip to my local breaker and I now have two working indicatots on the front..and ****** was I cold!!
