Looking to purchase a car that has got some poke, space, comfort, decent mpg and ability to hold the road. My budget is £3,000. From what I can tell with both cars you can get a lot for your money, and I realise Saab is based on a Vectra therefore they are very similar under the hood. My better senses tell me to go with a Vectra (my dad;s is on 170k and going strong) as you can get them around £2000 with very decent mileage, you see lots of them on the road which means lots of parts available and ease of servicing.
On the other hand, there is a Saab: they seem like an absolute steal for the money and I have loved them since my cousin got his first 9-5 a few years ago. I have looked on many a forum and found favourable info on Saabs but no direct comparison between the two cars.
If anyone has owned/worked on them at some point I am open to advice, things to look out for at a viewing and everything/anything?
Cheers
