Default 13 pin dedicated unit problem

    Hello to all,
Hope this is the right forum?
My outfit:- 2005 Vectra Design 1.9 cdti, 150bhp
The GM dedicated 13 pin towing module is only giving out a permanent +12v.
There should also be a ignition switched 12v+ , this would power the fridge in the caravan whilst towing.
But I only have the permanent 12v+
Do I need to get the ECU programmed to enable this ignition switched pin.?
    Any help welcome.keep safe
    Vin in Preston Lancs.

    Hello, Thanks for your imput.
Did not know you need a Add-on loom for a dedicated 13 pin plug. The fuse in REC is OK No 18 I think it was.
The permanent live is OK, feeds 12v through to caravan but nothing on pins 10 which is the ignition switched live.

You Can make your own straghit from the rec.

but the correct one goes to the batteri at the front of the car.

i alså have 13 pin in my car, bus as i dont tow a caravan, i didnt wanted to fit the extra loom, or make it work out off the rec... (there is switched live there, and live, you can via a relay make your own...

Thanks again, do not really want to splice into the REC.
Very strange when a GM dedicated 13 pin socket is fitted but the switched live is not active?
