Whirring noise when driving
There's a whirring noise coming from the front of my car when driving, the quicker I go, the faster the whirring is. It's worse when your sitting in the drivers seat it's deafening at times, but not as loud when your in the passengers seat. I'm not mechanically minded at all, does anyone have anything like this happen to them before and were you able to resolve it?
It's a 1.8 SRI on a 2007 plate, it's done just over 94k and just had water pump, timing belt and all that done in garage.
Three car drives absolutely fine though apart from this.

If you have a noise like that it points to something that is rotating and touching something... so it could be, brake pads, a sticky caliper, a bent brake disk cover, a worn bearing, a worn baljoint, a worn CV joint (inner or outer) or the gearboxes diff needs replacing...
I have seen and repaired all of the above myself, not specifically on the vectra but on other cars too.... long story short is to find out where the noise is actually coming from... Jack the car up have the wheels up in the air and spin them around to find the source off the noise..
So finding the source of the noise is your main goal... than you can actually look at finding a solution.

Could be like my noise after accidently hitting flooded road terrible noise from Auxiliary Belt side of motor.
It eventually wrecked itself, the bearing in the Alternator Clutch Pulley. No silent as a mouse, just need to fit new alternator and auxiliary belt
