Anyone any experience of the 1.6cdti engine?

Apologies if I've asked before but does anyone have one of these insignia 1.6 cdti sris? If so what they like? I'd assume a wee bit sluggish but can be mapped to about 170ish, any help gratefully received cheers

Heavy car for the 1.6
But the addition of a remap as you said and maybe a pedal box would certainly help it get along.

Why not consider the 2.0 ecoflex?

Just considering it as an option rab mate, I'm thinking I'm too old for my astra vxr now and it's not that practical, really dint want or need a diesel tbh az I don't many miles but the 2.0turbo insignia is super rare so doubt I'd find one that suits, don't want 1.4 turbo or1.8 really like the insignia big comfy motor and apparently the 1.6 is a nice refined unit and with map should be quick enough for my needs��
