Absolutely loving the new suspension guys, once I took the splitter off and raised the front mudguards everything is fine, speedbumps are no problem, the car is still very comfortable and it corners like it on rails.

I think I have a wee issue, I hope it's not a big problem, the last few days the car has not felt as fast, nothing major, I wondered if I was just getting used to it, now it's been chipped a while. However tonight I got an engine light, I thought maybe I need to turn the tuning box down or something, so I opened the bonnet and removed the pastic cover and found a lot of oily residue, the plastic cover looks like it's been sprayed and round the filler cap is oily, it noticed oil round the filler cap before when I installed the tuning box but I put that down to someone spilling oil when refilling, now I'm not so sure. Any advice guys? As always I appreciate your help.

Look at the swirl flaps and check the seal on the filler cap.

Hi guys, sorry I've been quiet for a bit, life has been crazy recently.

So, a little update and some pics.
The rod is completely off, I've ordered a new one with the brass things, it hasn't arrived yet. We manipulated the valves with a screwdriver and they seem to be undamaged and moving freely

Looks good Adam. Try storing something a little heavier at the rear (awning) ? that will help to level it out a bit.

Right on the money mate, I changed the bar and replaced the cups with brass ones and it has greatly reduced the smoke, still does it a little which could be the DTUK box and I still have the white smoke on initial start up, (not sure what that is).

Sooooo, for the last week I get a sort of bird chirp noise from the turbo when started, it goes away tho after a few revs or so, I did notice a gradual but slight dip in power since I heard it.

I suspect and hope its a vacuum hose misbehaving.

however as noted above I changed the bar and cups on the swirl flaps last night.

I got the Mrs to rev the car and it didn't seem to be revving much so I took it for a test run.

was working fine until I stopped at a junction, the steering felt heavier and it was as if the turbo wasn't doing anything, could only rev to 3.5-4k.

turned the car off and on again and all was ok, until the next junction, same issue.

This morning I drove to work and apart from the chirp noise and white smoke at initial startup, all was well.

I should say, EML was on, but has been since the 22nd April as noted above.

(incidentally, I did take it to my mechanic back then, the code read fuel recycling system, he cleared it and reset the light, but it was on again by the time I got home.)

I am hoping to get the mechanic to read the code again later today.

it's a weird one to me guys, I hope you have some ideas of what it might be.

As always, I really appreciate your help.

You should really post in troubleshooting you bad boi

Check the exhaust manifold for leaks, the studs like to snap on these usually one on the right side.
