More progress, both passenger wings wrapped last night.

Incase anyone is reading this thread for the locked door issue here is the solution.

The internal door handles don't work when the external door handles are off because you lock the external door handles in the open position to remove them, this neutralises all the rods and cables but not the lock, if you accidentally lock the car the door catch will catch again. Then your stuck like I was.

The solution. You can access the rod through the hole the handle was in with needle nosed pliers. Force the rod side ways towards the lock to release it from the handle mechanism, then push the rod down to open the door. You'll need to strip the door card off to hook the rod back in the hole and fit the red retaining clip but you're back in business.

Full car is now wrapped, need to do the two bumpers and roof again but it's all the same colour at least.

If anyone is thinking of doing this I would let you know that is is one of the most difficult things I have done and when you are up close to the car there are issues with every panel. The kind of wrap is important and the one I used was probably not the best, you need a really clean place to do it and you need a lot of room, I have a large single garage and struggled for space a lot. The paintwork underneath needs to be mint too, rather than cover issues it highlights them.

Also buy way more wrap than you need because you will make an @rse of some of it, hence me needing to re-do the bumpers and roof.

Wrap the bumper lip too, it'll make the front look lower and bigger and because you are just wrapping the lot it'll look like it's one big bumper

Think the piece between the rear screen and roof needs to be done black to flow the roof into the rear screen

Good shout both of you, I'll do both, need to redo the bumpers anyway, will do the front when the splitter comes as it might hide the bottom lip.

Dual ss exhaust is booked for dec
