    Trim : SRI

    Engine : Diesel 150 bhp

    Year : 07

    Default Time for a change

    Hi, thanks for having me.

I've been a member for a little while but this is my first post.

I have had my Vectra for nearly 7 years and I love it. It's the diesel sri 150 model. She is my daily runner and still going strong @ 120k miles, that said she is starting to look a little tired and the wheel archies are just starting to bubble.

I considered getting a new car but in all honesty I prefer my Vectra. So I am just going to do her up a bit. I just bought a 2002 Gsi vectra as a donor, I'll take the interior, rear bumper (because I want dual custom exhausts) and some other bits and pieces and fit them to mine, I will be wrapping the car after I fit a few subtle styling mods and treat the wheel arches.

The plan is to go from dad taxi to cool dad taxi without crossing over into mid-life crisis territory. (It's a fine line I know)

I am happy to post progress pics and feel free to chip in with advice, opinions or just discuss the project.

I know you all like pics so here is a pic of my vectra on holiday, I love loading her up and hitting the road with the family.

    Cheers

    Default Pics as promised

Some parts are coming in, let me know what you think.
Brows will be wrapped red with the car.
    Mustang bonnet vents....too much?
Carbon fibre spoiler, ebay effort, came off a 200sx
Wrap is in, carbon fibre effect for roof, grille amd some interior trim.
    DTUK red box.
I know some of these parts are total chedder but I'm hoping they will look ok once it is all done. I don't care about folk saying its just a carbon fibre sticker on the roof, it's a vectra not a lambo, at least the spoiler is real carbon fibre, thinking of wraping the spoiler body red cos parcelforce damaged it!

I reckon the vents just don’t look right and being honest the spoiler looks too small mate and again for me doesn’t look right , obviously it’s each to their own lol but it’s a no from me on the vents and spoiler .

I'm aiming for a similar look to my old Astra (car before vectra and kids)

Will admit I'm with JOHNBOY on your Vectra.
It doesn't sit right for me, but that's because it's not to my taste and that's the beauty of this place, everyone has their own tastes and likes.
For me, I'm not keen on the Astra either, it's a bit too 'Max Power Mag' for me, but again, that's my taste, you do what you want with your own car mate and all respect to you for making it different and stand out
