    Default Reversing

Does anyone else find the Vec awful to reverse. I find it almost impossible to judge where the damn thing ends lol, the whole back end is a blind spot and i can see just beyond the back doors in the mirror.

I'm seriously considering getting the parking sensors fitted when i'm earning, obviously, being a student means i can't really afford to do things like that at the moment, especially on top of having to pay the insurance premium for an 18yr old male with a 2.0 engine lol.

I can't be the only one who finds reversing the Vec annoying, i saw some bloke in Oxford leaning out of his 'Lambo style' once.

    Any thoughts?

Yep. After driving my Signum where the rear glass is pretty much where the rear bumper is (plus six inches) and then driving a Vec C for the first time, I had no idea how close the rear bumper was when I was reversing. Was made a bit easier as there was a spoiler fitted! lol The Vectra definitely has a greater need for parking sensors than the Signum - and I got sensors fitted to my Signum!

You´ll get used to it....after 2 or 3 bumps while reversing

Yep,awful. Probably easier if you have a rear spoiler, must be even worse in the saloon than the hatch!

Already had 1 lol. Luckily it was only minor, no dent or anything, bit of touch up and it was gone lol

Yeah my saloon has a big rear end...and it does take time to get used to it...specially beacause my last car was a 2 door hatch back, after changing it for the Vectra I felt I was driving a Limo.

The vec is my first car. Love it to bits (especially the power). But is a bit different from the little Suzuki Ignis i learnt in!

I nudged a new Astra in a multi-storey once. Used the reflection in the car beside me as a guide and thought I had loads of space left, obviously I was wrong.....no damage done though

I have to say the estate is fairly easy to park. Like the sigbum the rear screen is flush with the back +the 6" for the bumper.

If I had had the hatch I'd have had parking sensors fitted
