Thought I would also post some past and present cars I've had......
1st car I can find pics for at the moment was my 1996 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting. The car was cursed, someone had a ringer with the same plate, I got speeding tickets for it etc, a lorry hit it and then we had a BIG crash. It was the first in the country to have 195/45/14s OZ Polaris, it handled like it was on rails:
Trust me, this hurt. Believe it or not I was travelling in the opposite direction to the XR3 and we ended up in this direction:
Then I bought a Nissan Micra Super S from my Dad (always laughed when he drove it anyways). It came from the dealer with Stil Auto Ghibli 15s and lowered suspension, also a host of Nissan options, to my knowledge they did 4 of these as a dealer special:
Pity the wife mullered the box when learning to drive (maybe the drag racing didn't help)
This was my 2002 51plate 1.2 Dynamique Clio, in sunflower yellow (aka gold). Its still the car I was most happy with the looks of. Everything I did to that car made it look better and I liked it. Pity it was so slow....and greater pity that it was written off in a hit and run........
Then we have my beloved Primera GT, god I miss that car, should never ever have sold it. Only sold it because the bargain of the century came up:
My 1996 Mini Equinox 1.3i, bought with a mere 10K on the clock, and owned within the family since new (I asked to buy this car the day my auntie bought it). Spend a fortune on it making it look like this, and apart from the lights, every mod I did to it made it worse. I loved it and loathed it at the same time, still miss it, but it wasn't the way I wanted it, should have just dropped a VTEC in it, then I would have kept it for life.
Then we have the car we had the most fun in of all, we only sold it because the only fun you could have was offroad, on road it was terrible. NOTHING gets in the way of these things offroad, I breezed past Land Rovers, Pajeros were left standing, it was unreal offroad.
NEVER BUY A NEW CAR WHEN YOU ARE TRYING FOR A BABY.
I really wanted a Cooper S since they came out, and I bought this one, with loads of extras (24K new price!!!). Sold it because you can not fit a pram in one. Its the only car I have ever owned that I didn't care how much fuel it used (as low as 7mpg!) I will have another one, but I think I'll get the new turbo one instead of the supercharged one.
And now I'm left with this, perfect for carting a small baby about and a dog. Does 50+mpg all day long and is suprisingly quick (its a 1.5 Dci Renault engine). Has all the toys of an exec, auto lights/wipers, parking sensors, climate control and is comfy as hell to drive (more than the Vectra):
I also have just swapped the below car for a 1.8 petrol LS (almost identical plate) and am now waiting on my new 1.9cDTi Estate
Just wait until the bairn is a touch older and I can finally get my hands on an EK9 Civic Type R or a Clio Trophy
quite a few missing from there, my 1st Nissan D21 Pickup (uber cool when I had it, and not bad being a 2ltr at 17), my 1ltr OHV Nova (the shame), my beige Mini City E cooper a like (RIP, I loved it lots) or my 1.3 Bonus XR3i alike Silver Escort.
I think I was most happy with the Clio (looked the part, didn't go that fast though) and the Minis........
Oh well, life moves on
