    Default Z18XER rocker cover

Hi guys im looking any pointers is possible. I replaced the gasket on the rocker cover today as i noticed a slight weeping/bubbling at the front of the cover when i bought the car never mind the red sealant someone had smeared over it. Any i replaced the gasket and also notices plug 4 was sitting in a pool of oil as well as a little oil i plug 2 and 4 so it turns out the pcv is knackered so ive ordered the replacement diaphram off ebay. But when i was replacing the rocker cover i noticed 2-3 of the bolts wont go tight. I didnt take it off to investigate but looking to see if anyone has encounterdd this problem before and if its a case of replace the bolts or will i need to tap the threads ??

Right guys i got round to fitting the replacement PCV diaphram this afternoon (between sleep and nightshift ) and i foumd when removing the old one there wasnt any damage to the diaphram?? Any way i replaced it wifh the new one and fitted all back together. This is when i eventually inspected the rocker cover bolts. A couple of the threads have some sort of damage ( nothing of great concern) and the receiving threads on the head look a little damaged so im wondering if the bolts arent giving a good clamping force would it still affect the preasure in the head? Just im still getting a sucking effect through oil cap and a very faint one through the dipstick. When removing the dipstick before and after i done the PCV it was still running rough . I also added some more oil to the car and tgh rattle around the vvt solenoids disappeared as well as the roughness when removing the dipstick. Im new to the petrol engine side of vectras as ive always had the 1.9 cdti. So any info ive gathered its by any info i could find on here. So any help much appreciated guys i know ive still the 02 sensor to do post cat but im still getting between 28-30 mpg with a mixture of easy driving and thrashing. Also to mention i noticed that theres a slight bit of play in the flap on thr throttle body as if its not 100% closed

Make sure you get the correct Gaskit, if it's cheaper than £20, it's no good.
