Rusty front shock absorber tower
Hi
My two front strut towers are rusted and needs to be replaced in the near future is there any replacement parts online to be found ?
I post a picture where I have circled the part I mean.
My car is a 2006 Opel Vectra C GTS 2.8T 230hp strut tower.jpg

Is that a picture of your strut mount? If so then I can’t see much rust... Don’t think you would get a repair kit, I maybe wrong but any capable body shop would be able to cut rust out and repair.

Yeah you cant see it from above, i live in northern sweden and we have very salty roads in winter time and when i was replacing my shocks, springs and top mounts did i see it was very rusted from the underside. I could literately scrape of layer by layer of rusted steel from the underside of the shock absorber towers.
On my left side is it even small rust holes.
Thats the reason why i want to change them.
But opel dealers here in sweden no longer sell that part.
the part number should be 93172046 for right and 93172040 for left side.
