    Default Rear interior lighting?

I've seen quite a few people have done the conversion to install a rear interior light.

The actual light is fair cheap. About £10.
But how do I check to see if it's wired up ready? How do you get the front light/sunglasses holder out?

If it's not already wired up, is it easy enough to wire up?

Thats one of the things I think the Vectra lacks... light in the back.

    Thanks
    Dan

would come in handy for me as when putting the bairn in the back its hard to see what I'm doing as my svelte frame blocks ANY light from entering on that side, lol

Was just flicking through some threads and saw a post on my favourite mod. There's no need to worry guys. Two important things to remember are 1. disconnect the battery to down power the air bags (about 30 mins), and 2. do not make any attempt to cut the roof lining untill your such you have all cables etc.

Ian T posted a great How 2 on here. Follow it to the letter and you'll have no problems.

I've found the post that Ian T did about the rear interior light:

    http://forum.vectra-c.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=25

Is it neccessary to disconnect the battery before doing this?
I was hoping to find the wire, then connect the light to test it before I cut a hole and put it in position.

I've ordered the light from Vauxhall.

If anyone wants it, the details are as follows:

    Description - Interior Lamp
    Part Number - 13101642
    List Price - £10.10
    VAT - £1.77
    Total cost - £11.87

    Thanks

You don't have to disconnect the battery, you will be no where near the airbags.
