    Alright guys,

Ive just bought a 2.0DTI Vectra and its the 2 plug fuel pump which can't be remapped but I was wondering can I go down other routes of uprated cams, turbo, FMIC, injectors. Just a thought if anyone has any info on these engines it would be appreciated!!

Yeah the answer to all of that is a no.... there is one guy one youtube he's Romanian and he has managed to get it to 150 bhp at the wheels but how he has done it is a mystery...he probably used the older16v head found on the vectra b because the y20dth has weird as injectors that do not allow you to swap to bigger nozzles...

What you can do however is get either a remap or a tuningbox i have one and it changed both the responsiveness of the throttle and the aggression of the engine torque up with about 25 % and the box is on economy setting meaning not working at it's full potential...

Mine is a t-unitbox I bought used.... but got excellent help from the company... and they do maintain their products so if i wasn't pleased with it they told me they can recalibrate the box for a small fee... bit it works just fine...

I suggest you do either a remap or go for a tuningbox...

Also you could make the engine breathe better, put the intercooler to the front of the radpack, get an egr cheater and an egr delete kit and you can decat it (knock the thing out or do as I did and replace it for a new one), do the airflap removal in the airbox and put in a sport panel airfilter...

All in all it should all help to release those hidden ponies

Dude it has an ecu it is part of the vp44 psg16 fuelpump... can be mapped by a select few places but they'll have to do it on a bench making it expensive...

Yeah but it can be done not a lot pf places left that take it on though... but if you keep your eyes out for a tiningbox you'll probably run into one at a decent price like i did... cams etc I have yet to find a place that does anything specific for the Y20DTH engine...

fyi the turbo can''t be messed with, because all the bigger turbo's are variable vane turbo's and the ecu is not setup for it at all meaning you can't take the turbo of the y22dtr... and with your car being half canbus you can't just get a complete engine setup you'll need a whole car as a donor and than swap the lot over... not worth it better off buying another car with a 150bhp cdti engine or a 2.0t or vxr.

Cross out VXR and put 2.8t as they can all be mapped up to around the same

Same engine digferent tune lol just put vxr instead of 2.8t... why god knows... but you are right if you can find a manual 2.8t it'll be cheaper than a vxr...
