Replacement Nav Cd Will Not Load

Purchased (genuine,off Ebay?)up dated nav cd It loads info,but when removing cd info fades away and "load cd"message returns I assume faulty cd Any thoughts? Thanks

By the way it is the correct disc for cd 500(MY 2011) I have the letter B in vin code even though it is a late(Dec)2010 model

is it a map update you've purchased?
