    Default HELP!! Computer Probs!!

I've manages to get something on the computer calling itself "SPYLOCK" There is a little Icon in on the bottom right next to the clock that flashes between a "No entry sign" and a "question mark"

Every time I open the Internet explorer it defaults straight to a different page asking me to download anti spyware

My Norton is upto date and I've done a full system scan and Spybot,

I've even un-installed it, but it's still there.

Every so often i get an error message at the bottom right saying I've got trojans and spyware on my computer

    HELP HELP HELP PLEASE !!!!!!

there are a number of things it could be. You could prevent the program starting using MSConfig

As well as spybot, you could try adaware. And like Neil said.. try stopping the program running using msconfig (start, run, type MSCONFIG, open the startup tab, locate the program and remove the tick from the box.)

Reboot and then locate it's .exe file and delete it.

Looks like you've had your Browser hijacked - I've had the same thing. Adaware or Windows Defender should identify the culprits and remove them. I too fell for the invitation to install Antispyware programs, and learnt the hard way not to install anything I'd not requested or heard of. Hope you can avoid the hassle of a rebuild. Don't trust anything you don't know beginning with 'Spy' it's likely to be malicious.

I'd hang the clever barstewards who screwed up my system. Once bitten....

Get that Norton rubbish off your machine, download AGV by Grisoft, it's free and it picks up and either deletes or handcuffs most viruses, and don't use IE, get Firefox, failing that a ZoneAlarm trial will also find it if it's spyware, you need to take up the option of Pro for 15 days, afterwards you just revert back to basic firewall, Adaware by Lavasoft is also good for this, another thing, go to tools and clear the cache in the browser, and then use disc tools in Start/Programs to clean up your disc, i.e remove the clutter.

I couldn't agree more with VV about norton.. it's the biggest pile of **** out there. I personally use Sophos as i get it free through work.. it does spyware as well as viruses and i've got the firewall to go with it.. pain to set up but great once it's running.

BlackIce Defender used to be great too but i haven't used it in ages... think i might give it a go on the laptop and see if it's still any good!!
