    Default Fit CD70 aux

    Hi,

I have a 2008 08 vectra, I’m based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Is there anyone that can fit aux? Pretty sure I’d have to drive at least a couple of hours to someone that could do it. Would be worth it! It’s a CD70 navi, I’m guessing I need the full works done. Any help or info would be appreciated.

    cheers

Aux will need programmed in, I programmed my cd70 yesterday in my Astra, but need to find which wires need swapped about as all I get is a clicking noise.
Chances are the wiring is there, just tied up

You need the extra components inside too.

Not just a case of enabling it.

    Agreed -
For Aux-In to work, you need
    1 - 2007 Firmware,
2 - The internal components fitting.
3 - The Audio index changing.
4 - Three audio input wires adding to the quadlock plug.

A clicking or pulsing sound confirms that you do not have the necessary electronic components fitted inside.

Yes but doesn’t an 08 Vectra usually have the newer head unit with the hardware inside? That’s how I got aux by replacing mine with one out of a newer car.

That's what I did as well. Mine being an SRi only had the CD30, so fitted a CD70 from 2007.

One thing to note, though, the Aux In wiring kits are not wired correctly for a CD70. The one I got I had to remove the wires from the block and then put the wires into the Quad-Lock connector.
