    Default Rear sport chassis springs

Hi can anyone tell me about the two rear spring types available for the hatchback, mine is sports chassis XP Sri ,I ordered a pair of rear coil springs making sure I ordered sport chassis springs,
the springs arrived but have tighter coils at one end and mine on my car have a constant coil diameter?,
mine are definitely the sport springs as the car is lower than standard Vectras but just wondered why the two sets differ visually, and also if I fit the new ones with the tighter coils,do the tighter coils sit at the bottom or the top?.
any help hugely appreciated thank you

Are both sets the same brand?
The EPC differ on sport chassis (PRO code XJ1) and lowered sports chassis (PRO code XJ2) have you ordered correct.
Different brands springs can look different but have the same ride hight.

I can’t tell what the brand is that’s on the car as the powder coat has flaked off,
Also the ones on the car are half as thick as the new ones as well?.
Im just gonna fit them tomorrow and see how it sits afterwards.
I know the car sits 15mm lower than a standard Vectra as standard but the arch gap
at the front was very noticeably bigger than the rear so I bought 35mm lowering springs for the
front which technically dropped it 20mm further and has evened the arch gaps out nicely and
I have now decided to replace the rear springs for new like for likes just so it’s new all round.
will post back an update after they’re fitted

Fitted them today and bled the brakes up all round as well
as that was long over due, noticeable difference in use straight away
they’re firmer and if anything the car feels a bit more comfortable
I replaced the front top mounts and bearings today as well
along with new Meyle hd drop links as since fitting the 35mm
Apex springs on the front there’s been a clonk when going over speed bumps?,
despite replacing the parts mentioned above, the noise remains over speed bumps?
I am guessing it’s the tighter coils at the top touching each other as the spring compresses?.
And yes the Vauxhall noise deadening rubber that goes on the bottom coil is also fitted,
Im thinking it needs something like that on the upper coils perhaps???

If everything is new and tightened properly at the front then it’s possible you’ve just been unlucky and something else has gone. If there’s a spring issue you’ll get a double clunk (if they’re too short for the standard struts?
Maybe an engine mount? Also check your ARB bushes and brackets. If you did the drop links maybe there’s been some movement.
