I think it is a bit 'involved'. Mark (GSi3.2) may be along to help (depends when he gets back from work) as he's definitely done this.

Just had a look at the procedure for doing this and I was right - it is somewhat involved!! I'll leave it to Mark to explain it in simplified terms!

EDIT: Attached a PDF showing how to do it. Have a peek and then Mark can add the 'real world' input as he's done this before. He's working some mad hours at the moment so no guarantee that he'll be on this evening.

    I'm here..LOL...

yep, it's not hard, but it sure is 'involved'....

if you want a blow by blow, pictureless how-2 then i'll post the word document i've written up , tonight..

or, if you want, i'll email it to your forum address.. it's a bit long to type it out again here ( at work).. but it is on one of my comupters at home from when i wrote it up for Ed Taylor

Is the PDF I posted any help? - or is your method more simplified? I'm guessing the latter!

    Urgent!!!!

Watch NGK iridium plugs. I was supplied them off the net and guarenteed they were correct. When in Vx they refused to fit them as part of my service saying they weren't right. It turned out that the plugs were 1mm too long-am told that's a lot when a valve hits it! I even emailed someone at NGK in Germany and he said the only plug they make to fit is the plug Vx fit at the service!! I was devestated at no iridium plugs at the time but now think how much it could have cost if 6 plugs hit the valve or piston!!

    Please be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default As my previous message I've found this!

    Dear Mr. Button,

thank you very much for your interest in our products.
The actual recommendation for the Vauxhall Signum 3.2l with engine Z32SE
is the especially designed platinum type BKR5EQUPA; there is no
alternative type, neither in iridium nor in any other electrode
material. If you need any further information or assistance, you may
also contact our british colleagues via the internet (www.ngkntk.co.uk)
    or by phone 01442 281 000 .
