Splitter replacement / drop bumper

I've got the replacement but it looks like I have to drop the bumper to get the front pop rivet in (unless anyone can tell me different).

I've tried the search facility (before anyone asks) and can't seem to find what I need so two questions:-

1. Is there an easy way of replacement or do I have to drop the bumper (don't have access to a ramp)?

2. If I have to drop the bumper, can someone please remind me how to do that?

There's some really good pictures there. Been really useful when I first took a bumper off.
I'm not clever enough for this stuff.

Nor am I but I begrudge paying a garage for taking off 8 bolts (which was what I thought it was). Also, can't think why, but I have a bit of spare time at then moment
