Vectra cdti 150 remap/ tuning box
Hi guys I'm new to the forum had my car only a week
I love the way it drives and has a bit of poke but am tempted in the near future to get it mapped for a bit more kick. My previous car was e90 318d remapped to about 190bhp and the vectra doesn't feel massively behind it but it doesn't feel as boosty
My question is do I get a dtuk box or a remap if remap any recommended Midlands companies that don't charge earth but decent service
Thanks in advance

Sent @Teapot a PM...
Best maps and service at decent prices...
He also offers remote remap services if you can't drive down to him... or just want to stay safe

I have sent teapot a pm I think went through not sure ha new to this forum ha
Do you know rough cost of a remote remap from teapot stage 1 with egr off as tempted to blank. Think he is quite far from me then u have to add the extra 2meter gap now ha

I don't know his prices but for the remote option you do need to have an MPPS cable and software running of a laptop.. you can get a chines clone of eBay cheap enough (it comes with the needed software) , last time i checked they cost about 10 to 15 quid...
He will reply as soon as he comes online so don't worry about it, he does give the best service and after sales support plus he knows these cars and engines inside out... you won't regret getting one of his remaps.

You might find there is someone closer like Uttoxeter @stret how works with him, i can do it. But if it goes wrong i cannot bench it so i just stick to the 2.8t's.

That's brill thanks guys il wait for him to reply see what he says rather pay for remap than a tuning box specially if he's good. I had mpps a while ago when remapped my mates astra van but no longer have it but I would buy again if can use on mine
What sort of bhp and torque are achievable on these my mate had astra 150 cdti few years back with dtuk box and that thing flew

If you were impressed by a tuning box you'll instantly cum when you get his highest bhp remap... but get the details from him... as max power isn't as good as the way the power actually is delivered... I rather have a very smooth torque delivery than maximum power on a daily driver.
So I say wait for his reply and if you can't wait just pm him some extra questions and wait until he replies.

I had a safe 195 bhp and 400 nm on a standard engine.

Ha I was pretty impressed by the tuning box to be honest iv had few fairly punchy cars couple for focus st running over 220 bhp but the torque on the astra felt great.
195 is plenty in that I suppose more the torque figures to look at. Ye I'd rather have a good linear map then all in 1 punch specially for reliability
