DIY Alloy Wheel Refurb, need Help/Advice.

Hi guys,

I'm after some advice please on DIY Alloy refurb, tidy.

The wheels I have do have a fair bit of kerbing but I tried sanding down the bag bits and it's getting nice and smooth so I'm going to try and paint them.

Question I have is, once sanded down, which wet & dry should I use? I'm doing this all by hand, sanding included.

I'm not expecting a pristine finish but it will be far better that what is there now

Also, I have heard a lot about plasti dip paint.

Will that hide some of the kerbing?

yeah no it doesn't just like how a wrap doesn't hide bad repairs... you are better of sanding it down with a 1000 grid and use a high build primer afterwards... of course you need to wet-sand the base layer, and after that you can paint it whatever colour you want... in these cases it is always the better prep, the better the end-result...
