Help with display black line

Hi guys I've just replaced my ccr 2006 headunit with an aftermarket one and everything was ok for around 24 hours but I've noticed a black line on my display (running through the "setting,return" and throughout the display)

I've tried unplugging the battery,removing headunit,plugging stock headunit back into but nothing gets rid of the black line so am I right in saying the display has gone faulty?

And if so if I get another one can it just be plugged in and work fine with my aftermarket radio?
