    Angry bl***y brakes

    can any one help had front and rear pads change because of rubbing sound comeing from pads. i know that the shim plate can rub causeng the same sort of sound but thats all been fitted properly and it still making the same noise. calipers have been looked and fine as i said still there anyone have any ideas

    where they swapped for OEM pads?...and where they assembled with copper grease on the pad carrier to help the pads 'back off' after use?..

    there are no shims on OEM pads, just a layer of antivibration mat, about 1mm thick..

    yes oem pads and yes copper grease was used and still its squeeks

    squeals on application of the brakes, or rubs as you are driving along.. has it caused the discs to have blue bands on then yet?..just trying guage what the problem could be..

    just rubs while driving along no blue band as yet had the wheels off today could it be the discs r worped !!!!!!

    you'd feel that as a vibration through the brake pedal when you used the brakes, a bit like how ABS judders the pedal..i think it's just another case of the new pads being too fat again....was it front or rear, and pads only i take it, not discs as well?

    no feeling though pedal and yes just the pads it sounds more at the back than front

    hmm, i wonder if the handbrake mechanism is letting the pads fully retract after using the Hbrake???...

    other than that, i wonder if they wound the calipers back in hard enough?.

    how would i cheak the hand brake is letting go properly

    by jacking up the car, then let the handbrake off, and see if the wheel spins freely or if it's binding on at all..
