Z22YH rattling sound and no power

Vectra C 2.2 2006

The engine have had problem with rumbeling idle for some time but no codes when I have checked with Opcom. I have cleaned the Throttle body but no change. When drivning the engine have worked perfect.

Last week when Instarted the engine have a rattling sound and now have lack of power, but still no codes in the Opcom and no warning light. The car have Run 20.000 km about 12.428 miles. What can be the problem? Is the lifters stuck

Probably chain stretch

timing chain, replaced mine along with the balance chain with sprockets and the uprated tensioner which is used in the 2.0L net engine

Do you change the water pump when doing the chains?

no I was told it already had a pump change but also I was told the cam chain had already been done which in part was true just the chain, no sprockets of guides or tensioners, thats what you get from a garage job under warranty so I made sure it was a full kit fitted
