Yes loyal ones, the dark one has dipped into the piggy bank, and from amongst the buttons and brass washers, extracted the sum of £2.89. Now what worthwhile improvement can you carry out for such a significant sum?

Well, following a flagging down by her majesty' s constabulary for a routine check, during which they failed to notice that the n/s wiper had fallen off (and thank goodness I'd repaired all the blown bulbs earlier), I decided it was best not to tempt providence again, and see what could be done.

So, every expense was spared to purchase these...

    Do they work?

Well, you can see the results in the attached picture. Because of limited space it was easier to remove the whole linkage unit to fit them. It also revealed that someone had bodged them on a previous occasion. The sockets on one arm were badly worn, but the clips appear to have really firmed up the whole mechanism. And thus far, I now have 2 working wipers!

    Good afternoon constable...

I paid less for the exact same clips and amount of clips I paid 1.99 but that was 3 years ago...

Either way they work a like a charm... good call there!

Drunk with the heady success of my labours, I also repaired the interior light so that all the bulbs work (winter and all that), and adjusted the bump stops on the tailgate, to stop it rattling.

After all that activity, I must now go and lie down in a darkened room...

I fixed mine with a loose tie wrap, a fix I found on here years ago. The linkage fell apart at 70k just outside the cars warranty but all was still working when I sold it at 160k ! The same had happened on my previous vectra b, I thought vauxhall would have cured it....but no!
