No, you have had a bill off a Vauxhall dealer, You want to be carefull airing your view points in an aggressive manner like that. It will cause alot people to respond in a non freindly way. Did the dealer explain why the injectors have failed? I have not heard of this happening very often, if at all.

There are some very bad dealers out there who do take advantage. Did they say why they are not covered under warranty? or is the car past 60,000 miles/3 Years?

It sounds like you have been unlucky, personally, I have done over 100,000 miles in two different 1.9 CDTi 150's and the engines on both have been perfect.

Forgive me if I am way out of line here, but I notice you are a fairly new member, if you have signed up just to slag the Vectra off, you won't get any sympathy off anyone. If you have an issue, many people are here to help.

This forum has a lot of freindly and informative members who are here to help.

sounds to me that you ave been taken for a ride and tbh your 2005 should
be under warranty unless you have a dodgy car so if i was you i`d go back
to ya dealer and check them out obviously they must of seen a right mug
come along and wot u expect them to do,they are bound to fill u wiv sh*t.
if you have a serious issue in ya car then take it out on the dealer insead
of coming on here ripping the car off as your just NOT the only one thats
got the same engine, why dont you just post up your bad experience and
perhaps ppl will help you in wot concern you have.

p.s i have a 1.9cdti and i aint had problems and think they are gud engine
but then it will be in the 1 and only uk IS3

i take it the car has done over 60,000 miles mate as this will invalidate your warranty, my cars got same engine and its an 05 plate car and also the best car ive owned, think you should go back to stealers as the car should still be in warranty, im sorry youve had a bad experience mate but be a bit more subtle next time

Even if it's done more than 60K be worth taking it up with Vauxhall Customer Services, although you may want to tone it down a bit on the first approach.

As Matt has pointed out, if the car is inside the 60k 3 year warranty, then you should not be paying the bill ! if that is the case then you could ask the dealer to put it in writing, stating why they are charging you for this repair ! you could then take the matter up direct with VX, you have good reason to be angry, but the people on this forum will go out of their way to help !

When Vauxhall only had12 months factory warranty, there was concessions for faults after the warranty is up, under the Vcan scheme.

Since 3 years warranty has been here, Vcan has all but gone. Basically unless it is a real strange failure Vauxhall will not offer any support after the warranty is up.

    Fair enough I say.

As the others have pointed out m8, the CDTi does have the odd problem with injectors on some cars. I've had 2 and both been fine as have most members. Like any make and model there are bad cars BUT, if your car is under 3 years old and less than 60,000miles it WILL be under warranty. Even if it is slightly over you might get some compensation from Vx. Contact customer services for their views on it.
You could let us know a bit more so we can advise what is the best option for you to take. Ranting about it the way you did in your opening post might make people a bit less helpful though m8
