Without doubt the most useless forum I've ever joined
Well, one year membership passed and I have to say this is the most useless car forum I gave ever joined, and unfortunately the only one I've ever paid for.
First post I put up was replied to by a sarcastic areshole, and it was just downhill afterwards, goodbye!!

Sorry to hear that, have been a member here for years and have paid at points.
I know it's each to their own, but have only ever had positive experiences and met great people on here and at meets.

it is how it is mate.. you expect everyone to know how to deal with one the oldest diesel engines placed in the vectra c? ... i got a 2.0 dti basically the same as yours just a smaller engine capacity without a variable turbo.. anyway i sort most of the stuff myself because of the fact that most vectra owners have a CDTI engine... so the knowledge on the older type of diesels is lacking on the forum... I found car manuals online have a section where you can find our engines (although in an astra) but it has helped me figure stuff out... it might help you also...
other than that the rest is the same as any other vectra c so the forum isn't useless but you can't expect that everyone is clued up on your engine especially since CDTI's are the norm not the DTI's...

I did very similar when I had my DTI, there isn't much on here about it, but I did find that the people who do know about that engine to be most helpful
Along with figuring things out for myself or asking a very good friend who has been a mechanic since he was 15 (now mid 60's), I managed most tasks, including an engine change, clutch and flywheel change and various other works carried out.
This is essentially a good forum with good people, but it is how you are prepared to use or take the information given that makes it in my view

Of course, it could always be that people just don't like to read posts with such poor grammar and spelling
Just saying

The first post you 'put up' read like it was written by an ex-UKIP member who moved to Brexit Party LTD only to be told to stand down by Major Nigel whilst he counted your donation to his retirement fund.
TBH, the rest of your posts read the same. Do you really think that because you became a paid up member that you were entitled to an immediate response? Certainly the way it looks.
