    Default 2.0 diesel egr

    on the 2.0 litre diesel is it ok to blank the egr with a plate with a hole in it,and what is the good points and bad points of doing this

    the 2.0dti engine?

    if so you can buy restrictor type plates, I had one fitted but the EML still came on so took it off, I got a blanking plate fitted now but you do need to wire in a cheater box just to fool the ECU so the EML doesn’t come on, it’s only 2 wires soldered to the MAF sensor plug, Car seems to run better and seems smoother, but I think the kits about £90
