Brake Upgrade Info
So I’ve spent the last few hours searching the forum for info. From what I have found I am making a few assumptions and wanted confirmation before I start experimenting and ending up with a car I can’t drive.....
So, is it safe to assume that I can simply swap my 285’s in my ‘07 SRi CDTi 150bhp for 302/314/345’s with no additional upgrades to the braking system? Eg: no need to change brake booster etc
Front brake hoses should be a straight fit from my 285’s to the 302/314/345 set up?

Yes
Unless you want to be pedantic then you need to either trim or swap the shield.

Good shout! I hadn’t factored in the brake dust shields, think mine are rotten from memory anyway lol
Thank you for confirming the rest though. Now off I go to eBay! Lol

Mine just had a shield over the ball joint rubber, presumably to stop hot brake dust shredding it, number 19 on the picture I reckon.

Despite the cost of living it still seems popular!
