That’s the bulbs I put in the works van, line up perfect and don’t break the bank ( I know it’s H4 but concepts the same)

Yes evitek electronics actually holds the patent to them but they're selling it to other manufacturers... and yes the shield is the same. . It cuts the light output right next to the light source so the glare is greatly reduced.

Also did you make sure you had the bulb in the right way around? Sometimes they are directional and fitting them upside down causes glare.
I'm sat here utterly delighted to have been proven wrong

I'd done a lot of searching for brighter bulbs and these just didn't come onto my radar at all. Ta and a special mention to @davoc220 for the amazon link

And yes, @northpole , the bulbs were the right way round.

Right here you have a the cheapest listings on amazon:
H7 led bulbs with a reflector (main or high beam)
H3 led bulbs with a reflector (preface foglight)
H1 led bulbs with a reflector (facelift foglight)
T10 led bulbs ....are all the same though so you can use whatever but with out the modification as known on this site they will flicker. although you won't get the bulb out error on the screen and actually i have the same ones in my headlights and reading light.

Considering the amount of research you tend to do I definitely feel less stupid right now

To be fair anyone without a vxr would automatically be less stupid

lol i did my research on a page that most of you lot completely disregard... Aliexpress... Why you wonder? well it is easy if something gets invented it usually gets fabricated in China, the chinese have this thing where they'll copy the lot and sell it under different brands... but with one difference they actually put up videos so you can see the light output from those bulbs in standard reflector housings... that said... I found out last night that Novsight has upgraded led bulbs they call S2 Plus.. they have bigger shields and the light cutoff is just as sharp as normal halogen bulbs in reflector housings... but the light output is available from 4300K up to 8000K so from normal halogen (yellowish white) colour to bright white (blueish white)

I myself would now just go for 6000k as it is pure white light, although i know that can cause reflection on rain and snow when driving through that at night on an unlit road... if you don't want that, choose between 4300k and 5000k the yellowish tint actually doesn't reflect back at you but the whiter the light output the more it reflects... anyway i'm digressing,
if you are ordering Novsight led bulbs go for the S2 plus versions, but they are more expensive

Here is a link to the Novsight store on Aliexpress

It might take a bit longer if you order through aliexpress but you could save about 20 pounds a set because you are buying direct from the manfacturer
