    Default Gas safe or landlord?

Anybody here a gas safe/corgi boiler installer of landlord?

im having loads of bother with my landlord took them 2 months to get a new boiler fitted so in this time I had very limited use out of the old boiler. they sent a bloke out who has fitted a new boiler that leaks. The bloke had total disregard for my home or my property has left holes everywhere every room is thick of dust muck dirty boot marks everywhere. Damaged loads of stuff including a photo my table and fridge freezer.
hes fitted the gas pipe outside on a gable end that’s on a public street doesn’t look like it’s been sleeved as it goes through the wall and is fixed using plastic clips.

ive asked the landlord or his representative to come out and inspect the work and damages and they’ve refused. I’ve asked for a different plumber to come out and fix the boiler and been refused saying the bloke who fitted it has to fix it even though he’s caused so much damage.
they offered me £80 compensation that won’t even cover the damages.

what can I do? Any advice would be great
    thanks

your best option is to get a certified gas/boiler check done by the likes of BritishGas (you'll have to pay for this) than get a solicitor (one that'll take on the claim but only wants payment after a successful payout, and the best ones actually get their money from the person that the claim is made to) to take your landlord to court and claim damages done to your possessions and for putting you in danger... the only downside to this is that the landlord might decide to get you out of his property... as soon as he has paid the claim, if he is smart he'll settle outside of court but probably he'll try and get you out the property right after that...

and make no mistake as long as he says he's going to sell the property you are living in he can hand you your notice, but by law you aren't allowed to make yourself homeless so speak to a solicitor first to see what your options are and what actions you can take if he decides to hand you your notice because you took him to court (regardless if it was settled outside of court) because he'll want some form of revenge.

Exactly, the council will enforce the law so if you speak to them like I said they might be able to help quicker especially if somethings been installed illegally ie unsafe

I have no proof it’s illegal hence posting in the hope there was a gas safe fitter here. I didn’t think the council got involved in private tenancy issues but if they do it would be great. Il give them a call on Monday thanks

Have you got a tenants agreement through the landlord himself or through an estate agent.
