Default Duncan - The hero behind the scenes

    Morning all,

I know I've not been about much, Had a few issues with my PC and work has been busy since i got back from Germany, But with receiving my copy of Total Vauxhall yesterday my thoughts went to Duncan who had been such a invaluable support and help organizing the whole weekend.

I really don't think it would have been the success it was if Duncan had not been a part of the team. He helped in so many ways that many of you don't realise. And he put up with a few paddy's of mine too...

Just one example being the German hotel where they wanted to charge us extra for their mistake with the room assignments (and trying to say it was what we booked). Without Duncan and his super new laptop we would have had no proof of what we had booked there - so Duncan and his laptop to the rescue.

And for the guys that travelled so far in the UK, It was Duncan's idea to stop over in Brussels on the way back. So Thank Duncan for the less stressful drive home.

So Duncan (Little man, Big heart) I want to say a massive thank you and i hope this goes a little way towards the recognition you really deserved for the best weekend i have had for a long time...

    To Duncan...

Thanks Duncan for taking on Cabbie & the Germans, so the rest of us could hide ... and for 'walking the wing' stuntman to make us all look good in the pics

    .... and thanks again Mark

Aww mate - now you're embarrassing me!

Really appreciate the post I wouldn't exactly say 'hero' - I just did what was needed to be done to help where I could, suggest/implement things and other stuff to make the whole trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible for everyone. Gawd knows how much time we spent on the phone and MSN discussing stuff! lol

I think the fact that we (as a club) had 25 people and 15 cars go to Germany, and back, and we were all still talking and laughing with (and at! ) each other on the return ferry back pays testament to everyone involved and all who went. Some other clubs would have been and by the end of the first day!!

And gotta say thanks to you as well m8 as there was a whole lot of stuff that you did that I had nothing to do with - the ferry booking (other than paying for it and discussing bits with you), the actual hotel searching and booking (that hotel in Brussels was a beaut! - very nice way to spend the last night! ) and all the correspondence with Irmscher as well). Not forgetting your help with sourcing the supplier of the stickers and polos.

So, between the two of us I think we did a damn good job!

    D

you're too modest Duncan - you did a cracking job organising and not forgetting the stunt man antics on the return leg.
