    Default Limp mode - fed up with it!

    My 2.2DTI still keeps going into limp mode at low revs under pressure and I am getting fed up with it!
    It has been into the stealers twice, all they have told me both times is that they can see it went into limp mode but not why...useless as ever!
    I have checked all the hoses myself for splits and can't find anything!

    Does anyone have any ideas or experiences of how to fix this?

    If the dealer can see it went into Limp Mode then surely it's registered a fault code.

    The next time it does it call out your breakdown recovery service and ask them to plug in there fault code reader and see what they say.

    i agree with AJ ! if its in limp mode there must be a code ! the wifes 2.2 dti is a B , but its the same engine i think !? with hers is was the cam sensor ! it would come on intermitent ! the warranty covered it which is a good job as it was cured properly first time round and second time it needed a vacuum pump as well !

    Hi Chris, I think I've said before elsewhere, this is where mine started playing up. Initially it was the boost sensor which needed a good clean up and refit. This solved the problem for a while, but then we went down the dark alley of replacement turbo's, hoses, sensors,vaccum switches and pipes all before they could really say what had happened.

    Quite common for it to go into limp mode due to a problem with the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.

    Also, poor starting and cutting out after starting caused by airleaks through fuel injector seals.
