Vectra C 1.9CDTi Elite estate 2005

Hi

Just thought I would introduce myself....

I've just acquired my Vectra estate from my dad who just doesn't drive very much any more. The car was sitting on my parent's drive getting neglected so for the price of an MOT, service and some other work, it's now mine.

The one issue I have had so far and I believe it is common for Vectra estates is the alarm going off at all hours.The local garage identified this as a pane break sensor problem and after rewiring it no longer seems to be a problem.

So, so far so good....

I'm on here really for any advice at all, are there any unpleasant surprises ahead of me? I hope not.

I'm a little blinded by science for a 2005 car when it comes to the "onboard computer" the settings seem quite difficult to understand - there's the manual I just haven't had chance to read and digest. I think this might take a while.

Going forward I would like to fit a tow bar and reversing sensors at some point. Any advice on pulling trailers etc?

I've also been given some headlight protectors but they haven't come with any fixings are they quite easy to come by?

Any advice anyone has would be great in all aspects.

Welcome along , As Big dave has stated there's a benefit to becoming a full member , not just a Key ring etc etc ,by use of the How2 section right away . Enjoy your stay here .
