    Default Golden Oldies

Go away nippers, you wont know what were on about

My selection is Rio... Duran Duran, selected track is Save A Prayer.

Even though I had hair like Lemmy and a jacket as black, when I heard this LP I though, jeez thats a dam fine sound.

Ahhh nooo... you've got me humming...

Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand.....
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land.......

    Arrgh....

Other 'Max Volume' tracks I remember are

    'Eye of the Tiger'

'Money for Nothing' - Dire Straights

'in the Air Tonight' - Phil Collins (which was the defacto standard for testing new hi-fi speakers, usually blew mine)

'Brothers in Arms' - Dire Straights (I think this was the very first Album I bought on CD format)

'All the things she said' - Simple Minds

    'Bohemian Rhapsody' - Queen

    'Vienna' - Ultravox

    'Thriller' - M Jackson

'Relax' - Frankie goes to Hollywood (this 'Pleasure Dome' album was STUNNING on hi-fi CD format)

That is a quality track also, the whole disc for a pop group is awesome, others I liked at the time were a-ha, album stuff was so well put together, and anyone who likes rock and Duran, should check out The Power Station, and Thunder, you won't be disappointed.

I think it was a legal requirement for every CD player owner to have this, wasn't it?

Me too, and i thought it was gr8 both the music and the neatness of a cd, and the blue art on the disc itself looked really cool at the time.
