Best place to buy rear shocks?
Title says it all really. Battling against a horrible squeak and want to know best place to buy rear shocks? Seen a lot online for the vectra c 3.0 v6, ranging from £18-£70 so just wanna make sure I’m buying quality but not getting ripped off!
Thanks

A better question would be what are good shocks to buy, you can then look for yourself who is offering them at a good value price. Many people recommend Bilstein, although mine started to leak after just 15k or so. The TRW I replaced them with have been far longer lasting. Monroe and Sachs are also quite good.

Well Sachs are o/e on all 3 of our vectras and made in Germany so for quality there ok .Boge are owned by the same group ( think it's ZF )that own sachs and look 100% identical to the sachs as i found our after replacing the shocks on No 2 vectra.Boge seem to be slightly cheaper.Price is a fairly good way to decide what is made in china with a german sounding name.Personaly i will be replacing any more with sachs/borg as there a known quality, crap shocks give crap handling simple as that. You might not overly notice this on a car but on a motorcycle you certainly do.

You seem to be mixing the names Boge and Borg interchangeably. One comes out of your nose, the other tells you resistance is futile.

Mine I fitted were crap too and didn't last very long. Replaced with Sachs (were the OEM fitted in the first place), which were cheaper than the bilstein. More comfortable ride as well.

A simple spelling mistake is all it was and i thing it's a bogey for the nose and Boge is a manufacturer of shockabsorbers and other vehical related items.

And then there's Borg & Beck automotive parts manufacturer and BorgWarner transmissions. Not quite such an unconfusing spelling mistake actually.
