1.9 Vectra C SRI passenger footwell leak
I have a 58 plate Vectra C SRI, there is treacle’s of water every time I drive after is been raining. It’s not the bung under the windscreen blocked as that’s already been binned, it looks like it’s coming from the engine bay. Maybe because I haven’t got the undertray and water splashing up, not sure, any suggestions?

I would check your pollen filter to see if any water is managing to by pass the scuttle tray

Theres lots of info on the forum about where to check and i would suggest you do search . This is what i did with one of our vectras that was like a paddleing pool on the passenger side front and rear . NON of the known ingress water points was at fault it took me 2+ weeks off the road with loads of water sprayed for hours on different parts of the car with the seats out and the carpets up to find the problem.

Cheers for the input lads appreciate it
Think I’m going to get it on the ramps when the weather clears up,
Will update when I find out more,
Hopefully less than 2 weeks and less water splashing

Yes thats what i thought although it was a o/e screen as there was so much water coming in ,so we had the screen changed as i could not cure the leak. I was sure this would cure it but no it was still pouring in . It was actualy coming in from a seam joint below the passenger side windscreen in the bottom corner which could not be seen until i looked into the pollen filer area with a small mirror. I MUST try to photo this and put it on here.

Well finally got around to the photo of where the water was coming into the car. Now this photo was not of the vectra that was leaking its one of our others BUT the dark sealant that you can see is hideing the joint were it was leaking BUT it was just above where my top finger is pointing and sort of under the windscreen ,it was best seen with a small mirror .vectra exhaust fuel filter leak 018.jpgvectra exhaust fuel filter leak 017.jpg
