77k on the clock new clutch, new timing belt, new font discs and pads. 8 stamps in the book. Cost me £1650 don't know the going rate but considering I wanted an xp and only on ebay that was available to me I think it ain't to bad.
Not sure how rare the xps are now but I reckon the more rare they are they could go up in price?

Fitting my new android 9 double din headunit sometime to day aswell.
    Debage soon
    Towbar off
Brake calipers painted (not sure on colour yet
sometime I will get the wheels powdercoated in gun metal.
Black out the rear and back passenger windows.

Congrats but they won't go up in price because it is just a standard model.... you'd be able to get some of your money back if you decide to break it and sell the xp parts off and replace the parts with standard parts than sell the car as a normal vectra...

You could have bought a cheaper 1.8 and upgraded and paid less overall... but that's something you'd only know afterwards...

If you would've bought a VXR yes those keep their worth if they are kept standard and have some extra performance mods.

You've made the effort to obscure the number plate, all except one photo. You might want to get the mods to remove that one if you're paranoid about it.

Mod can you remove the photo with full number plate showing thx.

Was looking at a vxr but couldn't justify the running costs, so stuck with 1.8 lol.. And not only that the wife would go mental!

Be easier if you report your own post as the mods probably don't read every thread.

EDIT - I see you've just done the same in your fuel filter thread as well.

Looks very nice, i think in answer to your question fundamentally a good XP will be few are far between as you go forward. Some XP models are now rarer than VXRs depending on factory spec.

Per value going up? Well everyone thinks they know what will happen, but nobody knows long term! Christ the 'collectable' VXR can regularly be had for under £3k and thats not for want of the likes of MWP trying to drive the prices up! Sadly they are only a Vectra and as such never going to hit a collectors status. Even good Vectra B ST200s dont hit huge figures. That said, if in 15 years time you still have an mint XP, its going to be a pretty rare beast, much like a MK2 Cavalier in good nick is now... in which case it may have some worth then, but hardly an investment and not enough to retired on!!!!

I'm in the same boat.. to me my Vectras worth a fortune, but prob not much to anyone else unless i broke it! So i will maintain it, keep it mint and enjoy seeing it become rare and enjoy the complements it gets as more and more get stripped or scrapped...

its a lovely looking XP you have... subtle mods and no rubbish will keep it looking fresh!
