    Question MP3 cd

Does anyone know if it is possible to make an mp3 cd for the cd70 navi. I know it can play mp3 discs but i can only figure out how to burn about 10 albums onto disc in one playlist. What i want to do is for example on the ipod you can search for an album then a track without going through a full list of about 150 tracks. Can this be done on a cd or does it not support the album search facility??. Just curious as it gets annoying trying to remember what track is for which album. If only i could fit my 10 disc changer to the oe head unit.

Stick your tracks on the CD in folders for each album, which is the usual way to store them on a PC. Then the CD70 will refer to each folder as an album and you can select albums individually. Works for me.

just got mine and findng my itrip doesnt work very well just burnt my first mp3 cd for use in the car. I dumped the albums in album folders on the disc and burnt it. It then shows you all the albums on the disc (but not the artist - which is annoying) but I havent founda search function fr it.
If only my itrip worked better, or even better i could use my cassette adaptor !

you must have itunes set to 'organise my music' so its filing them all away under its own heading. If you use a file explorer in My Music -> iTunes (its there somewhwere) you'll find all your albums in their own folders. Then just use Nero or whatever burning sftware you use to navigate there and drag the albums in.

I think i get where your coming from! I just get hold of the albumfolders and drag and drop the whole folder to burn. This will give me the option to select albums as well as individual tracks?? I'll give it a go when i get back from work tomorrow. Cheers

yes, its a bit hit and miss, for example you might have a folder under iTunes called ColdPlay, and in it you'll have x&y and parachutes. You can drag Coldplay and burn it. Then when you stick the CD in the Navi it will show two albums (and have the album and track names but no artist info). The hit and miss bit is fitting as many albums on one disc as possible, I always end out with 70mb free and an album i want on thats 73mb!

    Thumbs down

O.K. I tried the above and all to no avail. No matter how i organise my playlist i only get a big list of 126 tracks and no album selection feature. Do i need to burn the disc as audio or data? And i'm using i-tunes to create my disc. any other suggestions???

Yeah, don't use itunes to create your disc!! You are just making a data disc so even the built in burning of windows will do the trick. just pop in a blank, find the folders you want in explorer, select them all, right click and copy. go into your blank disc in my computer right click paste, then it's something like "burn this cimpilation now" on the left menu.

May be worth using a CD-RW so you can do some practice runs.
