    Default There goes another £60

Came home to see a young lad (early 20's) knocking on our door. As i approached i he asked if steve was in, after a breif discussion he had the wrong address and went off.

1.5 hrs later wife goes to the car to nip to the shops and the drivers window is smashed. Glass everywhere.

Luckily it was deadlocked so they didnt fancy climbing in. Nothing to pinch anyway but its the bl**dy inconvience of it all. That little runt has gone away with nothing and cost me £60. If he wanted a CD i'd have given him it, costs a lot less than £60!

Not even gonna bother reporting it.

Not good - pain in the a**e and so much inconvenience.

Obviously whoever did it is a little s**t, but how can you be sure that I was him?

you cant, just coincedence. Lad cycles up, knocks on door, looks up at all windows, sees me, asks for steve, goes off. 1.5hrs later window smashed. Its a terraced street as well and the car is parked right outside our neighbours window who said they didnt see anything. Grrrrr......

We have something get stolen around every 6 months so after my scooter was robbed from the back yard last march i suppose were due a crime lol

Well, I have two sirens on mine, plus the Vx one, and with the car parked on my drive right in front of the front door, I still cant hear it, and if I cant hear it, I'm sure my neighbours cant either. With decent double glazing on the house you don't hear a thing, mine could blow up and I still probably wouldn't hear it.
Pagers rule, I wouldn't want to be with out one now.

Andy.. you should report it, if only to allow the local beat manager to build an idea of what is happening on his patch.

If you do, just explain that you don't expect to see an officer and you don't think there is any value in a SOCO officer attending, but you want it recorded for information.

Andy. Please report it. There could have been a number of breaks. Police resources are directed towards the areas where patterns emerge. (At least ours are). It's highly likely this scroat will be known to your local nick. If they don't know, nothing can be done.
It may not help you, but could prevent someone else suffering the same misfortune.
