Default Back on the Atkins Diet

Well I've been on it once before, 3 years ago and lost 2 stone. The only problem is I put it all back on again . This time having another go, mainly because I'm about 3-4 stone overweight, so for general health reasons really. Its not the best diet I know but it definalty works. Especially if you like your food (like me ). All the protein fills you up so you dont feel as hungry as you do on normal low fat diets.
Anyway been on it since Easter and lost 10lbs already. I havent been that strict either, just sensible.

Anyone else on a diet or tried the Atkins?

Yeah. But you'll never keep the weight off. Exercise is the key mate.
I eat what I want now, when I want. My weight stays well within the required 25 on the BMI. I run 5 miles 5 times per week.

If you wanna lead a healthy lifestyle and keep the weight off but still enjoy your food, then it's the only way IMO. Oh, eat porridge for breakfast too

    Good luck though.

BTW, you mentioned getting hungry with low fat diets.

Here's what I do to stay full and believe me, it works:

Mon - Fri ~ Breakfast : Porridge with SS milk and a pint of water.

10am : Piece of fruit and a cup of tea. Water.

12pm : Tin of beans. Water.

3pm : Piece of fruit and water / tea.

    5pm : EXERCISE!!!

No later than 7pm : A square meal. (ie. veg or pasta or a nice rice dish) as long as it's low in fat you can't really go wrong.

Saturday : Eat what the hell you like and don't exercise.

Sunday : Whatever. You've got Monday - Friday to put it right all over again!

Just remember. The key to losing weight is putting less than the recommended daily allowance of calories into your system. Put more in, gain weight. Put less in, lose weight. Put the exact amount in, stay the same weight.

Sorry for harping on, but this really does work for me. Mind you, ou're ******ed with my little regime if you don't like beans!!

Blimey, I thought my diet was odd....
Fruit and beans every day in the week until your evening meal . I don't think you'd stop f**ting
    What about the greenhouse gases...

It's funny but if I don't eat lots of oranges then I don't really get gassy.

If I do then you need to get out of the building quick or, well, you're gonna suffer

    Default the Go-cat diet

I have 2 cats & I was buying a large box of Go-Cat in Tesco and was

standing in the queue at the till. A woman behind me asked if I had a

    cat.

On impulse, I told her no. That in fact I was starting The Go-Cat Diet again.

I said I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital the last

time, it was after I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care

unit with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and the way that it

works is to load your trouser pockets with Go-Cat nuggets and simply

eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is

nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was by now

enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her.

Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition

    because I had been poisoned.

I told her no, it was because I'd been sitting in the road licking my

balls when a car hit me.

I thought the guy was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so

hard as he staggered out the door.

It’s nice to make people smile

Well I've had the odd glass of wine, but if it pints of lager/beer your after forget it. With the Atkins diet, it limits the carbohydrates you can have and as beer if full of sugar - its full of carbohydrate.
BUT.....you can eat loads of steak, sausage, cheese, bacon chops, etc..etc...

BTW chaps, do the Atkins diet and you dont need to exercise
