    Default scratches on bodywork

We see all these "magic" products advertised.

Are any of them any use? My wife's motability car has to go back in a few weeks and it looks like someone has contacted her front bumper. There are some thin scratches but I can see white so down to the plastic.

Are there any products that might help or is a repair job needed?

It's either get it sorted or lose £500 as that's what she gets back if it's in good nick when returned

I've used the coloured polishing liquid but can't remember if it was T cut color fast or turtle color magic it worked great on restoring the red pug we had getting rid/disguising the scratches it's well worth a try at around £8 bottle

Coloured polish won't work if the scratch is through to the plastic.

Try getting the correct paint, apply witha soft brush until slightly proud then use a cutting compound to reduce to a level finish.

Not ideal but it has helped me return company cars in the past!

Get a smart repairer to take a look at it. someone like chips away, etc.

Will be a whole lot less than the £500 you mention.
