Hi Baja anymore updates on this.
@Baja any updates please
So far, so good.
Done 1600 miles on that pump and regulator, not skipped a bit and there is no fault codes being thrown.
F5R contacted me that if I wish they will upgrade my pump for free.
Apparently this is ongoing project and as they sell A LOT of those in Europe they now upgraded pump with bigger pinhole bore, new seal and intake ports.
I am thinking about sending it to them when I Am going to be in Poland on holidays in July.
They updated the regulator too. It is shorter now and have separate filter that needs to be inserted befor regulator itself. I have a cut out picture of it on the test bench.

Hi Baja
Not been on the Forum for a while. Any info on the Fuel Pumps & Regulators for my 2.2 Direct with the Z22YH engine is always much appreciated. I need to get a long term fix, as i forget how many , but it must be at least 4 pumps I've got through since owning the car over the period of 12 years.

Well my pump just sent again, so have been changing about evry 5 year.... 2007, 2012, 2016 (2017 new engine)... 2021 just orderd a new pump...
cant se the F5R pump, it says out of stock.
Sorry to hear your news. I know exactly how you feel. I too have the Vectra 2.2 Direct and have been through 4 pumps myself in just over 12 years. Been meaning to look into Baja posts on how to get around these awful quality pumps and be able to have confidence to drive more than just around the corner without the fear of a stutter and the engine managment light coming on followed be the limp home mode.

Hi Baja. Not been on the forum for a while. I know others have asked, but what's the latest with the Pump And Regulator on the 2.2 Direct ? Hope all is running well.

I have had my 06 2.2 direct for the past 9 years, I have once changed the fuel pump for a Continental one and pressure regulator 5 years ago due to rubber seal split in pump, still going strong but if the pump went again with the cost of the replacement part I would probably scrap the car
