Only in an Audi ?
Sat parked up last night and a few cars down some poor soul was trying for around 10 mins to start his car. Eventually curosity got the better of me and I put down my copy of Car Mechanics magazine and sauntered over.
A4, bonnet up with the random checking of connectors going on - looks clean and cared for under there on an older car, and the owner seems to have above average understanding of what's under the bonnet. Tries a few more starts - nada, so I wander off and get my code reader. No faults.... hmmm
Then I notice the low fuel light is on, although the gauge is about half way in the red - "sure you've got fuel - really ? "
Then after a few more cranks I get him to let us push it back a few feet so it's not on a slope ... and guess what ? Fired first time. Luckily nearest garage is only about a mile

This has happened to my Signum. Fuel light on but not flashing and I parked it, facing downwards, on a steep driveway. Would not start until it was level.
